形態特徵

• A small tree or shrub, glabrous or nearly so.
• Leaves obovate, narrowly obovate or elliptic, (5.4-)7.2–10.4(–10.7) cm long, (3.5-)3.7–5.0(–5.2) cm broad, apex acute or acuminate, base cuneate; petioles 1.5–2.2 cm long; stipules broadly triangle, 0.5-0.6 cm long, 0.9 cm broad.
• Inflorescence in terminal cymes or sometimes in axillary. Flowers white, 0.6–1.1 cm long, fragrant; calyx truncate or with very short triangular teeth; corolla-tube 2–3 times as long as the oblong lobes; stigma very slender, fusiform.
• Fruit a globose berry, glabrous, 0.5-0.6 cm in diameter. Seeds 2.

分布

• 台灣 : only found in Lanyu Island.
• 世界 : A very variable species in tropical Asia.
